For reference, the hourly rate in my region for online support services is around 80 euros or 85 US dollars.

Safety
I believe safety and attunement are the two sides of the same coin : the feeling of safety can only emerge when your experience is sincerely validated and supported.
Keyword here is sincerely.
One devastating aspect of growing up neurologically different is that we barely ever experience this sincerity ; the sincerity of the peer who knows exactly what you mean, and is able to instantly recognize and understand your experience.

A preliminary question when approaching your mental health can be:
What is more influential in determining my subjective experience of life? The person I am or the world I am living in?
In other words, what would my experience be in another world?
I don’t think this is helpful, because “People change situations by how they act and what they do in these situations” and “people often choose situations that reflect their personalities”.

When to stop therapy?
When objectives are reached, i.e. when internalization of regulation, attunement is sufficient to allow autonomous regulation (self-regulation).
When the relationship with the world is healed, i.e. re-enacting the victim role is not our only coping strategy available when dealing with an overwhelming world.
